Bruce B. Elfvin Selected for The Best Lawyers in America 2020

Employment Law Partners is pleased to announce that Bruce B. Elfvin has been selected for inclusion in the 26th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for 2020 in the following areas:

Mr. Elfvin has been selected for inclusion in at least the last ten editions of The Best Lawyers in America in a number of categories related to the representation of individuals and classes in employment discrimination litigation claims. EKRT is proud to have one of its lawyers repeatedly named to this prestigious list of lawyers that is solely peer-selected. Mr. Elfvin has served his profession as the past Chairman of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section and a founding member, and the past President of the Cleveland Employment Inn of Court. Mr. Elfvin remains active as a member of the OSBA planning committees for Ohio’s Midwest Labor and Employment Conference and the NLRB Update Conference. Bruce has been selected in every year since its inaugural year of 2002 as an Ohio Super Lawyer, this streak continues with his selection for the 2020 Ohio Super Lawyers.
In recent litigation, Mr. Elfvin has served as lead counsel for 26 individual plaintiffs in the Smith v. City of Jacksonville firefighter promotion case with the Department of Justice in Jacksonville, Florida. The Smith case has resulted in a $4.9 million settlement that is currently implementing new promotional testing processes to eliminate any adverse impact on African-American candidates. Also, more locally Mr. Elfvin successfully defeated an attempt to obtain a preliminary injunction against an individual client whose former company attempted to bar him from working following a three (3) day trial in Summit County Common Pleas in Technical Construction Specialties, Inc. v. Doskocil.
